I knew Mr. Such from my 5th grade elementary music class. He was always so kind and so patient during my time there. I still remember him 20+ years later. I hope he is resting peacefully and his family living on in his memory.

Mr Such was my band teacher for about 3 years before he passed in 2018. He means the world to me, and I miss him everyday. I can’t exactly put my thoughts and feelings into words, but I continue to play and learn music for him. He was kind to his students and Crossler Middle School wasn’t the same without him. He changed my life, and was kind and understanding. Thank you for all you’ve done for me.

Mr. Such was our daughter's band teacher at Crossler for 2 years. He was always a kind and patient man and seemed to genuinely love what he was doing with the kids. He will remain in our memories.

What heartbreaking news to hear of the passing of Rich. He was apart of so many years of my life. My heart goes out to Katie and the whole family. He was always such a light in the band room and such a great teacher, he will be missed. 

Mr.Such was my band teacher at Crossler Middle School he was a amazing teacher he let me play saxophone in 5th grade with out playing clarinet he was my moms band teacher and she loved him to everyone i have ever talked to about him always had something good to say about him he will be missed and Crossler will always remember him 

I’m so very sorry for your loss.  I met Rich through his lovely wife, Katie, and I thought he was funny, kind and had a a calm presence. I’ll always remember him whenever I think of the Oregon Ducks, since it was my first-EVER football game.   We had a great time and I’m happy to have met him. #goducks #O 

I am so deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Rich. My heart goes out to Katie and Cassidy, Rich's parents, brother, and other close family and friends. When Rich was in middle school he was in a small group of guys I led at his church. He was a great kid and easily one of my favorites! Even as a 12 or 13 year-old, it was evident that Rich loved the Lord and had a sincere faith. Although we haven't stayed much in touch, other than through Facebook in recent years, it's been a joy to see him grow and become a husband, father, teacher and leader, accomplished musician, and someone who has positively impacted so many around him. I pray for comfort in this heartbreaking loss. Praise God that through faith in Jesus and God's amazing grace, the door to heaven was open wide and there is eternal hope and confidence in a coming reunion.

I had the pleasure of working with Rich. In the years afterwards  whenever i ran into him he always greeted me with his big smile and warm sincere greeting. Rich was one of the sweetest guy you could ever meet,  a loving man, a true one in a million. A teacher that taught for the love of Teaching.
I was fortunate to hear him play in one of the bands he played in, he loved playing. A True man of God. A man that will be truly missed. 

I worked with Rich at Crossler. He was one of the most kind and amazing people I have ever worked with. He will be missed.
