Born on September 3rd, 1945 in McAllen, Texas, Raul Leos was the son of Romaldo and Beatriz Leos. He grew up in McAllen, Texas before moving to Independence, Oregon at the age of 17 where he worked in forestry, then for Boise Cascade before serving his country in the United States Army. He then worked for the Department of Justice as a translator then retired from Hewlett Packard as a Machine Operator.
Raul Leos served his country as a Specialist 4th class in the Army for two years. He bravely served during the Vietnam war in the years 1967-1969 where he was honorably discharged after being wounded in active duty.
During his time in the Army, he received The National Defense Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Vietnam Campaign Medal, The Sharpshooter Marksmanship Badge, The Combat Infantry Badge, Two Overseas Service Bars and a Purple Heart.
Raul was a true lover of life, with a passion for music, a knack for playing pool, the wit for playing poker as well as an appreciation for the great outdoors. He was a devoted fan to the Dallas Cowboys where he enjoyed watching every game. Raul loved spoiling and spending time with his grandchildren. He had a contagious sense of humor that brightened up the lives of those who knew him.
Raul is survived by his wife, Manuela, his daughters Patricia, Angelica, and Monica, and his Grandchildren; Natasha, Cristian, Kailee, Gabriela, Alecza, MJ, Simon and Andres and Great-Grandchildren; McKinley, Olivia, Madeleine, and Ivy.
