Patricia "Pat" Anne Stephens

Patricia (Pat) Anne Stephens passed away peacefully in Sublimity, Oregon on March 18, 2022 with family at her bedside. Pat was born into a loving, Christian family on June 18, 1930 in Corvallis, Oregon. She had three younger brothers. In her teen years, she was active with her church and many family activities before graduating from Jefferson High School in Portland, Oregon. She was active in church choirs since age 19.

Pat married Stanley Frankum in 1952 with whom she had two children, KC and Bambi. They spent two years in Alaska, where they lived on a fishing boat that Stan had converted to a houseboat. Stan and Pat traveled to Mexico City and Carcaras, Venezuela to visit former exchange students. Miguel Torroba, from Venezuela, has remained in touch since living in their home in the '70s. Pat worked a variety of clerical jobs while Stan worked in construction. Stanley passed away in 1981 and three years later Pat married Dean Stephens.

Pat and Dean enjoyed traveling by motorhome with friends, who considered her the instigator of multiple grand adventures. They enjoyed several beautiful sites while visiting family and friends across the country. The grandkids cherish the many trips to the beach that were taken in the motorhome.

Pat had an inner joy that showed through her constant smile and laughter. Her calm demeanor and sense of humor were a blessing from the Lord, which saw her through the difficult times of her life. She enjoyed knitting, reading, traveling, and spending time with loved ones. Pat was an active member of Salem First Christian Church.

Pat was preceded in death by husband, Stanley Frankum; husband, Dean Stephens; son, KC Frankum; and two brothers, David Thompson and Howard Thompson. She is survived by daughter, Bambi Rux (Steve); brother, Phil Thompson (Lorna); grandchildren, Stephanie Frankum (Daniel Olson), April Spath (Christian), Alex Rux (Jenn), Ryan Rux (Kristin), and Alicia Bolen (Justin); seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; three stepchildren; and eight step grandchildren.

A visitation for Pat will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors, 1350 Commercial Street SE, Salem, Oregon 97302. A private graveside service will occur Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Belcrest Memorial Park, with a memorial service on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Salem First Christian Church, 685 Marion St NE, Salem, OR 97301.
