Marvin Black son of Melvin & Elise Black was born May 7, 1946 in Salinas, CA. Raised in San Rosa. Joined Army after high school. Served in Vietnam and did a total of 10 years of military service. Was LDS, married Barbara Giddings of Carlton on March 25, 1972. Loved woodworking.
Surviving family is Charles Black of Cascade, MT; Geraldine Cole of Michigan; Son, Marvin Black Jr. and grandson Orlando of Salem, OR.
Marvin was predeceased by wife, Barbara Black and Gerald Black of Chinook, MT.
Funeral services will be on Monday December 23rd, 2024, at 10AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints: 1645 NW Baker Creek Road, McMinnville, OR 97128. Marvin will subsequently be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery: 11800 SE Mt Scott Blvd, Happy Valley, OR 97086.
