She was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. When we joined the war, Marie left for Wichita, KA to work for Boeing. She was a Riveter. Marie met her husband Tom and married November 2, 1946. He passed January 6, 2001. They spent 20 years in the Air Force and then retired in Salem, OR. Marie worked as an FDA Grader at Kelly Farquhar Cannery until she retired at 65 years.
They enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time with their grandchildren, and traveling in their motorhome.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-laws, Gary & Shirley Sandstrom of Eugene, Steve & Dorothy Vaughan of Bend. Grandchildren, Scott and Shelby Sandstrom and Kenneth Vaughan.
There are 5 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Willamette National Cemetery.
