Linda was born November 15, 1969 in Novato, California. She was the daughter of Olin and Wally Cawthon. She studied criminal justice at Sacramento State, and received her nursing degree from Chemeketa Community College in Salem. She dedicated over 20-years of her life to the field of oncology as a cancer research nurse.
Linda could be defined as a natural caregiver. She was compassionate and nurturing to those in need, whether it be children, the elderly, or the sick. Family came first before all else. She had so much love to give.
Linda was a spiritual person who played classical piano, loved flower and herb gardening, was a curious and creative cook, and she turned her hobby of artisanal soap making into a rewarding small business venture. Trips to the coast with family were among her favorite annual outings.
We loved the joy she got from silly things, like pink flamingos in the garden, funny socks, and her obsession with exotic house cats. She was a great conversationalist with a fun and contagious sense of humor, and she welcomed anyone to her home with open arms.
She will be deeply missed by her friends and family. We will continue to find her in rose gardens, in the kitchen, and in our hearts.
There will be a visitation for Linda on Thursday, January 20, 2022 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Howell, Edwards, Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors, 1350 Commercial St SE, Salem, Oregon 97302.
