Lee Albert Davis, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 14, 2023. He is survived by wife of 69 years Janet, sons Mark and his wife Laurie, Gregory, Paul, Todd and his wife Linda, Lynn and his wife Jennifer, Scot and his wife Ann, and 10 grandchildren. Known as Laddy to his friends growing up, Lee was born in Enid, OK where he spent the first part of his childhood. His family moved to Portland, OR where he attended Washington High School with the class of 1947. His success in football and track & field earned him a 2006 induction into the Portland Interscholastic League (PIL) Hall of Fame. He enlisted in the United States Army and served in the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Lee attended Grays Harbor College where he met his wife, Janet Christensen. Lee obtained his degree in accounting from Lewis and Clark College which lead to a 31-year career with the US Department of Treasury. However, his greatest joy was raising his six sons and passing on to them the values of family, love of country, and a strong work ethic. Lee will always be remembered for his numerous talents and hobbies. You could usually find him on a tennis court, attending weekend flea markets and auctions, or piloting his Cessna 182. Lee will be missed by all those who had the privilege to be in his life. On August 26th, there will be a memorial service to honor Lee's memory. The location and time of this memorial are yet to be determined.
