We asked our close family members to describe Landon using one word. All were quick to respond. Landon was loving, kind, caring, thoughtful, friendly, fun, generous, giving, hard-working, and resourceful.
The family knew, very early, how resourceful Landon was. When he was just two years old, he somehow obtained keys to Dad’s car and proceeded to drive it. To not leave this as a cliff-hanger, Landon drove about 10 feet before Dad jumped in the car, head first, and pushed on the brake to stop the car safely. He was resourceful with a “go-getter” mindset. After leaving high school, he set a goal to obtain more education. He did this without help from anyone. It was such a great honor that he received his General Education Degree.
Landon was an extremely hard worker. He always wanted to make his own money, which brought him independence. He wrote an impressive resume and did all of the legwork needed to apply for and get jobs. We laugh about him bugging employers (the go-getter mindset) until they relented and hired him.
Landon did not hesitate to outwardly show his kind, thoughtful, caring and loving personality to all who crossed his path. He could read emotion and was always the first to ask if someone was doing well. He could start up a conversation with anyone and seem to be able to find a topic so that he could relate to them.
Most of us also know Landon by his most notable characteristic – generosity. He did not hold back when it came to giving and did not expect anything in return. He insisted on taking family and friends out for meals on a regular basis. He did not care about the money and was so very interested in spending quality time together. He also never forgot a birthday or special holiday. He gifted us all on these special days.
You will be greatly missed - son, brother, grandson, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew and friend. We love you dearly Landon!
