Joseph P. Green “Joe”, 90, of Salem, Oregon (07/18/1933-10/30/2023). Joe was a Christian and left this earth peacefully at home, to be with our Lord Jesus whom he loved.
He graduated from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 1955 as a Petroleum Engineer. He and family moved from California which enabled him to take the position of Director of Oil and Gas in the State of Alaska, later Arco corporation.
Joe retired at 59 yrs and served on the Alaska State Legislature for 10 years as State Representative. He loved Alaska where he and Jeanne his wife resided for 25 years, enjoying fishing for salmon, hunting, caribou/ moose, and all other Alaskan adventures. Joe also loved woodworking, travel and being around family.
Joe and Jeanne have children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in Oregon, California, and Montana and have lived in Salem for over 20 years, where she continues to reside. Joe will be dearly missed by all his family and friends who will remember his laughter, bright smile and generous spirit.
