You were so very loved by all of us. I will love you forever

Spanning three decades at Salem Paint Company from the early 80's until 2011 John set the standard for color matching and customer care that we strive for everyday.
If the sky starts to look like a different shade of blue we'll know it's because God asked John to tweek the color.

John liked to make up and combine words and languages to make me laugh. We did this often together and it never got old. One of my favorites is a time we passed the store, “Shoes and Feet.” As we drive by he says, “Shoesandfeet, have you ever been there? I visited once in Germany.” He would do this with a straight face, of course. Another favorite is when we would do laundry together. He never could remember which items of clothing I preferred to be folded or hung (when he did laundry himself he would lay out everything so he didn’t put anything in the wrong place ♥️). He would hold up the item he was unsure about and say, “fold or hang? Foldorhang... Have you been? It’s near Shoesandfeet.” I adore how silly and happy he was. It was so rare to see him in a mood other than happy and content. Thank you for all the smiles, laughter and unsurmountable love, my John.
