James (Jim) Robert Staggs of Salem, Oregon passed away July 22, 2019, at the age of 81, with his wife by his side. James was born June 26, 1938, in Yreka, California, to Earl and Charlotte (Torrence) Staggs. He moved to Harrisburg, Oregon, where he attended high school. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S Air Force, where he was a Jet Mechanic.
He is survived by a large family of two sisters: Mary Rossiter of Springfield, Oregon, and Joann Pope of Lebanon, Oregon; his wife: Pamela (Gibson) Staggs of Salem, Oregon; from this marriage, four step-children: Elizabeth Jackson and Chris Coberly of Salem, Oregon, Michael Coberly of Warrenton, Oregon, and David Wilson of Georgia; his step-grandchildren: Jaedyn, Braeden, Brendan, Mady Coberly, also Colby, Catelynn and Christopher Wilson. Also two step-children from his previous marriage: David and Dan Dickey both of Dallas Oregon; and from them, four step-grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren. From his first marriage to Janice Shepard: three children Jill Wood of Nevada, Todd Shepard, and Scott Bradley Staggs; two grandchildren from Jill, Kile, and Lee Ball of Reno, Nevada; and two great-grandchildren Ian and Ava. He is also survived by seven nephews and two nieces and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Charlotte Staggs; his sister, Karen Staggs Baker; and his beloved son, Scott Bradley Staggs.
He was an amazing man who will not be forgotten... To the moon and back.
