Mt Angel – Frank V. Moll passed away on November 2 at the age of 97. He was born in Conway, Arkansas on December 5, 1913 to Frank and Ida Moll. Frank was the oldest of nine siblings, and was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Moll, Emil Moll, Jim Moll, and his sisters, Albertine Enderlin, Ida Moix, and Dorothy Hess. He is survived by his sister, Louise Gillespie (Salem) his brother, Joe Moll (Chicago), as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.
Frank grew up in Conway where he operated the family café until he moved to Oregon in 1957. He started his career at Montgomery Wards in McMinnville in 1958, and retired from Montgomery Wards in Salem at the age of 65. Frank won numerous awards for his success as a furniture salesman for Wards. After retirement, Frank volunteered to help his nephew, Mike by delivering meat once per week for Gillespie’s Meat Shoppe. He was a fan of sports and enjoyed watching the games on tv. Frank was a long time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salem, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a past Faithful Navigator of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the individuals who cared for Frank while he was living at Mt. Angel Towers, as well as to the staff from Willamette Valley Hospice.
