Full of spunk and a lot of spit, Debbie, as she was know to most, has gained her wings. She was all the roles -- wife, mom, grandma, aunt, daughter, friend and so many more. She created amazing moments and lifetime connections. Her giving spirit started with Job's Daughters in the 70s creating the path to 35 years of her volunteering with Pioneer Little League, Parrish Little League, and committee serving with Little League International in Williamsport. She was a champion of players and volunteers.
She was born and raised in Salem, graduating from McNary in 1975. She married her high school sweetheart, Duane, in 1976 and celebrated 45 years of marriage. Together they raised two sons, Doug and Tony. Her grandchildren, Nico, Ella, and Sawyer will always be her world. She worked for the State of Oregon until pursuing her cosmetology license and opening her shop, Blue Moon where she continued to faithfully serve her loyal clientele.
Besides her husband, sons and grandchildren, Debbie is survived by her parents, Carol and John Livie, her sister, Cathy, her brother, Keith, and extended family. Arrangements are through Howell, Edwards, Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom. A memorial service will be held at Scottish Rite Center (4090 Commercial St SE, Salem, OR 97302) on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Willamette Valley Hospice (1015 3rd St NW, Salem, OR 97304).
