Daren was born in Salem, Oregon on January 20, 1971. He and his identical twin David were the first born children of James Allen and Carol Judy (Hein) Bartram of Jefferson, Oregon.
Daren graduated from Jefferson High School in 1990. Entering the US Armed Forces after high school. After being based on the east coast and completing his first enlistment in the Army, including a deployment to Kuwait, he returned home to Oregon as a member of the Oregon Army National Guard.
Upon returning to Oregon Daren attended Chemeketa Community College in Salem, and Portland Community College where he received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Diesel Service Technology.
He acquired a civilian position with the Army National Guard as a Heavy Wheeled Diesel Mechanic, requiring him to remain in military service and maintain his military rank, a position he held for 2 decades. During his military career, Daren had several deployments, both domestic and abroad, serving in combat zones including Iraq. Rising to the rank of Sergeant First Class, Daren's military commendations included: the National Defense Service medal with Bronze Star, the Global War on Terrorism Service medal, the Humanitarian Service medal and numerous other medals, ribbons and achievements.
In November 2014 Daren married Petra Tenango Perez in Hillsboro, Oregon. They made their home in Hillsboro, eventually buying a house in Vancouver, WA after welcoming their son, Harrison Ivan Bartram in late 2015.
After seperating from the military in 2015, Daren went to work for Reddaway Trucking company in Portland as a mechanic, a position he held for the next 7 years.
Daren was an avid aviation enthusiast, often traveling out of the area to visit air shows around the U.S. He enjoyed being a mechanic and he loved spending time with his family and close friends. His closest friend was his twin brother David. They especially liked camping together, watching movies with popcorn and occasionally going out for a beer. Daren loved being a father to Harrison, and spending time with Harrison and Petra, having fun and taking vacations to Disney and Mexico to visit family.
Daren was survived by his wife Petra Bartram, and son Harrison (7) of Vancouver, his mother Carol Bartram of Jefferson, OR, brother David Bartram of Forest Grove, OR and sister Rosanna (Bartram) Blackmore (Dave) of Salem. He was preceded in death by his father James A. Bartram.
There will be a private graveside service in Jefferson, OR. A public Memorial Service open to all who knew Daren will be at Eastside Christian Church in Albany, OR (1910 Grand Prairie Rd. SE) on Saturday June 17th at 5:30pm, with a dinner reception to follow.
