Dale Francis O’Leary passed away on March 4, 2011 at the age of 77. He was born in Mankato, Minnesota to Cyril and Rae (Rachel) O’Leary. Dale married the love of his life, Brenda Daily, on September 4, 1981 and together they have six children.
His hardworking ethic helped him excel in the lumber industry, where he was a Saw Filer Supt for Weyer 35 years. He invented several saws and tools, as a saw filer, that are still in use today. Outside of work his passions in life included hunting, fishing, woodworking, RV’ing, and even volunteer firefighting, but none more than his family ~ especially his grandchildren! His family described him as “a man who cast a long shadow”.
Dale is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; mother, Rae O’Leary of Mesa, AZ; sisters, Pat O’Leary of Mesa, AZ and Faye Trentz of North Bend, OR; children, Deb (Jon) Stinson of Port Orchard, WA, Dale O’Leary of Orting, WA, Shawn (Deb) O’Leary of Madison, MS, Dale (Cathy) Bishop of North Bend , OR, Colleen (Mike) Armer of Dallas, OR and Diana Radekin of Eugene, OR. He was also blessed with 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
