Alice Irene Turner passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Avamere Court in Keizer, Oregon at the age of 97. She was born July 16, 1914 in Davenport, Iowa to Harry and Josephine Detlefs. On June 23, 1935, she married Ira D. Turner in Salem, Oregon, and together they raised two sons.
Alice’s husband Ira D. Turner preceded her in death in February of 1998. She is survived by her sons, Gordon Turner of Salem, and Roger Turner of California; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2 pm at Avamere Court, 5210 River Road N, Keizer, OR 97303. Arrangements by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
