Albert Nelson Pykkonen

Albert N. Pykkonen,born April 22, 1933, passed away on January 31, 2023 at the age of 89. Albert married the love of his life, Johanne, on August 26th, 1956. They were married for 66 1/2 years. Together they created a life that resulted in four children. Allen, wife Jayne-Vicky-Rick, wife Lyn-Debbie, husband Mike. Albert left behind 12 grandkids, 29 great grandkids, and 9 great great grandkids. After being discharged from the army as a corporal, being awarded 2 bronze stars, Albert went into construction, and ultimately retired from being a security guard at the Salem Hospital. Albert will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery on Friday, February 17th at 12:45 PM.
