Agnes Theresa (Doran) Meyer was born December 3, 1920 in Gervais, Oregon. The daughter of Joseph and Mary Doran, she was the youngest of five children, with two brothers Joe and John, and two sisters Anna and Madge. She attended parochial school and graduated from Gervais High School in 1939. Attended Wester Business College in Portland. Married Richard L Meyer June 3, 1943 in Providence, R. I. There she worked at a shipyard during the war.
She and Dick raised three children; Catherine Farris (who proceeded her in death), Richard J. Meyer of McMinnville, and Constance Bishop of Seattle, WA. Agnes had 7 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
She worked with the public during a long career at various restaurants including Tops in Albany, and The Keg and Platter in Salem. She attended Chemeketa Community College and received a CNA certificate specializing in Senior Care and finished her working career for Upjohn Willamette Senior Services. Agnes loved fishing, hiking, gardening, and baking cookies for her grandchildren.
