Arnold Abraham Jacobson

Arnold A. Jacobson – of Salem, formerly of Marblehead, Swampscott & Ipswich, entered into rest on Saturday afternoon, October 26, 2024 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of Brenda L. (Goldstein) Jacobson. Devoted father of Philip Jacobson and his wife Kathryn of Great Falls VA, David Jacobson and his wife Alicia of Cambridge, and Brad Jacobson and his wife Beth of Newton. Cherished grandfather of Jonathan and Presley Jacobson. Loving brother of the late Audrey Gilgulin.

Arnold grew up in London England, graduated as an Architect from the London School of Design. He emigrated to the United States in 1957, where he and Brenda raised their family in Marblehead and Swampscott. He was self-employed for 42 years, heading Arnold Jacobson & Associates, an architectural firm located in Boston and Waltham focused on public projects.

Arnold loved spending time with his wife and children but was especially fond of his grandchildren and greatly enjoyed spending time with them.

A graveside service was held at Pride of Lynn Cemetery, 89 Lakeshore Road, Lynn, MA on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.
