Lynn Frances Whiteman

Passed away December 31, 2015 while sleeping. Born in Minneapolis, MN, September 2, 1951. She was a graduate of Hibbing High School, the College of St. Scholastica and the University of Minnesota where she earned a masters degree in nursing. Lynn was a neonatal nurse at Hennepin County Medical Center for many years and taught at the St. Mary's University, Minneapolis. Preceded in death by her mother Jean Whiteman and her brother Peter. Survived by her father Richard (Mavis) Whiteman of Duluth; siblings David (Lin), Frank (Julie O’Leary), Steve (Jacqi), Sarah (Robert) Fehr, Ann (Gary) Hastings, Carol (Terry) Netzel, Marie Ronning; nieces, Jennifer (Nick) Sander, Lindsay (Luke) Schmitz, Amanda Swanson, and Elizabeth Whiteman; nephews, Eric Netzel, Jason (Sarah), Jonathan and Aaron Fehr, Adam (Alyssa) Hastings, Peter Whiteman and Josh Ronning; step-siblings, Jeff (Joy), Steve (Sara) and David (Irene) Johnson and Julie Stafford. Lynn is remembered for her caring spirit, also as a talented needle worker (every baby in the family has a quilt made by her) and her love of gardening and fishing at a younger age. Lynn will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave., St. Paul, on Saturday, January 16th with a gathering at 11:00am and service at noon. Private interment at a later date. Memorial contributions preferred to Sharing and Caring Hands of Minneapolis.
