Passed away of natural causes on March 2, 2012. John was born January 25, 1929 in St. Paul, MN. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Weidner and Elizabeth (Lamster) Weidner; brother, Joseph Weidner. Survived by many family members, including step-daughters, Darlene (Ken), Debra, Dody (Michael); son, John (Michelle); daughter, Elizabeth (Rick); and their loving mother, Marlene. John had 4 grandsons, Eric, Justin, Logan, Matthew; and 3 granddaugh-ters, Angie, Jamie, and Hannah. John was a loving and devoted father and grandfather, an avid outdoorsman and a Veteran Commander for the St. Paul Police Department. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Thursday, 3/8/12 at ST. BRIDGET OF SWEDEN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 13060 Lake Blvd. in Lindstrom, MN. Visitation 5-8 PM Wednesday 3/7/12 at WULFF FUNERAL HOME 1485 White Bear Ave. in St. Paul and one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
