Ed is gone but our memories of Mn fishing trips and fish stories will last forever.  The memories of BCHS and  the AV department that you can't take away.  There are memories of fishing trips to Canada and Ed catching so many fish we renamed the lake Anderson Lake.  He was good at catching record walleyed and taking our special fishing trophy home.   There are great memories of Ed's cooking skills wearing his Chef's hat and apron as he made pancakes, strawberry shortcake, and other goodies.

Ed and I were across the hall from each other for many years and we had both taught Geography.  I was always fascinated with the many interesting things he came up with to make it more interesting for the kids.  I will always appreciate his friendship and how he was so willing to give of himself even as he became the head of the AV department.  He always had something to say about everything and he always made it interesting.  In recent years it was always good to see him at the faculty get togethers.  I was so glad to see him at the Christmas breakfast and to have the picture of the social studies department of the 1960's thru the 1990's.  We will miss him too, as I know that you already have Audrey.  Blessings on you and we will have Ed in our memory.

The Brooklyn Center High School Social Studies Department of the late 1960's through the mid 1990's has lost a dear friend and coworker.  A wonderful camaraderie and strong friendship developed within our department during those many years.  After retiring we have maintained contact with each other.  Our last gathering, along with many other BCHS retirees, was just this last December at the Brooklyn Center High School.  We will miss Ed.  We send our sincere condolences, Audrey, along with thoughts and prayers.


Ed was a dear cousin and will be sadly missed. We were email buddies and I eagerly waited for his replies. He had a great sense of humor. May he rest in peace. My deepest sympathies to Audrey and the extended family.

Dear Uncle Ed, kind and generous and always ready to laugh. I will always remember the slide shows and movies, our childhood trip to Minneapolis and the Foshay Tower, and the pannekoeken. Sending you love, Aunt Audrey.

Ed was a dear friend and colleague. We taught together, fished and camped together. Many memorable trips with our friends Dick, Bernie and Rich. Never to be forgotten. Our sincere thoughts are with you at this time Audrey.

Love the fishing picture! I just sent out a tribute to my dad, Ed's uncle, Alore Anderson, with a picture of my dad holding a large filet from a fishing trip. Those Anderson men sure loved to fish!!  Cherish the memories!

He was a high school teacher who I will always remember. He is the one who started me into photography and electronics. We still kept in touch after all these years. He will be missed.
