She was born on August 10, 1944 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late David Lowell Nelson and Bonnie Beatrice (Linn) Nelson.
Diane graduated from Johnson High School in St. Paul, MN in 1962 and married her husband, Leonard, later that year. They raised three wonderful children until his passing in 2003. They were happily married for 41 years. Diane moved to Southern Maryland about 12 years ago to be closer to family. She enjoyed being socially active and would regularly attend the activities at the local senior center. She was an avid reader, loved to play cribbage, card games and Scrabble. She was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers and Elvis Presley. She loved animals, bird watching, and always had a dog or cat as a pet. She was a very sociable lady and never met a stranger she didn’t like. However, her greatest love was her family.
Preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Kodluboy; her parents, Bonnie and David Nelson; and her brother, David Nelson.
Diane is survived by her children: Leonard S. Kodluboy, Jr. (Deborah) of Hudson, WI, John D. Kodluboy (Amy) of Lexington Park, MD and Bonnie L. Gray of West New York, NJ; her grandchildren: Leah Maxon (Cory), Robert Kodluboy (Claire), Katie Kodluboy and Calley Kodluboy; Christine Allen (Joshua), Joseph Kodluboy and Carson Kodluboy;
her great-grandchildren: Christopher, Emmy, Russell, Adaline, JoeJoe; and many extended family and friends.
Memorial services for Diane will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Wulff Funeral Home (1485 White Bear Ave, Saint Paul, MN) with a visitation one-hour prior.
Diane will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
