I was able to work with Devlyn for so many pictures his senior year.  On Ice, the ball field and in his grandfathers shop with his friends.  But my favorite was heading to Minneapolis with him for actual senior shots.  We rode together and talked about cars, what he wanted to do after school and his mom (we are old friends).  Devlyn was so fun, kind and pretty protective to be honest due to where we were working.  I just adored him straight away.  I am so thankful to have gotten to know Jessi’s beautiful son and be let into his world for a short period of time.  I can see he is his moms world 🌎 and light and a true friend to those in his life.   Dev, it was an honor sir to know you.  You are so loved and so missed!🙏🏻💙🤍💙

Every year we get together to celebrate our little family and hang out. I am forever grateful to have had this time to hear everything that he was doing and learning. From hockey and baseball to cars and racing. I loved listening to him talk about his car photography and the shows. Devlyn always took time to hang out and play with his younger cousins and that was really special to me. I wish I had taken more photos over the years.

Devlyn was the best friend a person could ever get the pleasure of having, He was the funniest guy you’d ever meet and could make an entire room crack up in laughter. In times of need he was always there by your side. I’ll forever miss the countless jokes he would pull and his caring attitude. He was truly one of a kind and I’m glad I was able to create the bond we had with memories to cherish forever.

Devlyn truly was one of my closest friends throughout high school. He always cared one step more than others. If I looked down one day, he made sure to ask if I was okay either in person or over the phone. We goofed off in classes, and he even let me sleep in his car once for lunch because I wanted to be alone. He was gentle. He always rolled the windows down for me because he knew I liked it. He always sent me videos and photos of his dog because he knew I loved him.  We talked about personal things together, and helped each other through hard times. I will miss seeing his smile so high up, and his mullet which I hyped him up on so much.  We checked up on each other after high school, he was the person I could send any silly photo to and he’d return the favor. I want everyone to know how good of a friend he was to me and others. Country music will never be listened to the same, but I’m glad it holds the memory of him to it. I am so glad he was in my life.

Jessi, We are so deeply saddened and heartbroken with the sudden passing of Devlyn. May one of my most precious memories of him give your heart comfort in your times of need.
A couple years ago my son was struggling with some mental health issues. He was so very ashamed and didn't want anyone to know. He confided to his best friend Dev. Not long after, Dev showed up at our house with a very long detailed list of things Isaiah could try to help possibly feel better. Breathing techniques, supplements, and many many other suggestions. You could tell from this list that this was something Dev  really put so much time and effort into. I think for the supplements he even had the dosage he should try. It was literally that detailed. Our hearts that day were gushing with so much love.. These were two teenage boys, something you just don't see, and was the sweetest damn thing ever. It was also such an eye opener to how much our boys loved each other and were bonded in their friendship. More like brothers..To those who know Jessi but may not have known Devlyn personally, This is who Dev was, the kind, caring, and compassionate kid Jessi raised. He never missed a moment to let his people know they were loved and cared about,especially when they may have needed it most. My son Isaiah still has this special note after all this time. Something he we now hold onto and cherish forever. Devlyn, you were such a beautiful rare gem in this world and you made such a lasting impact on so many. We will cherish our memories and miss you so very deeply. 


I'll never forget the brotherhood I had with Devlyn. He was my best friend, we did so much together over the years. He was a kind, caring, loving person to everybody and was always so quick to forgive. His light will never stop shining.

Had the pleasure of meeting dev when he travelled to Australia for hockey. He was so quiet and shy at first but very quickly opened up and had such a beautiful personality. It was only 2 weeks ago that we caught up on life. Truely the most heart breaking thing to wake up to. Wish I could be over for his send off. Love you lots dev ❤️❤️❤️

Devlyn was in several of my classes at Tartan. Light spilled out of him and I always considered myself fortunate to have been part of something he considered positive. Devlyn always treated me with kindness and respect and my classes with enthusiasm. I don't think it was anything I did in particular, I think it's just the way he was. My heartfelt condolences to Devlyn's family, he was special.

Sweet Devlyn,   You will be so missed  by the Cunningham’s.  Caleb and Damian are missing you terribly and will cherish all the memories they have of you and with you.  Jojo says a prayer for you daily and will continue to do so.  I miss you so much already- your quirky comments, your giggle, your smile, your never ending tinkering with your car, you and Marina goofing in the kitchen, the dirty dishes your mom would cringe over, you and Marina doing puzzles and the list goes on and on.  I love you and am happy knowing you are up there smiling down on all of us.  May you fly high, holding Marinas hand and giggling with all the other angels❤️❤️❤️

Dev was more than just a cousin he was my brother. The loss of him is hard on me an my brothers as we were so close. You always see how upsetting it is when people lose someone so close to them but you never really know the pain and the emptiness until it happens to you. I will forever cherish the moments I made with him. I love him and miss him forever. I can’t wait for the day I can see him and hug him so tight again. Nothing will ever be the same.

I had the pleasure of driving Devlyn to and from hockey for his 1st year of high school hockey.  As we all know Dev was one of the younger ones in his grade and didnt have his license yet.  So as a hockey family we do what we do best, we help out.  He didnt say much in the car but I remember looking in my rear view mirror and always seeing a smile on his face and those beautiful eyes he got from his beautiful momma!  He was a good friend to my son Jonah and I know he is and will be terribly missed forever.  Jessi and Scott, with the outpouring of love and support you now really know what a great kid Dev was.  Thank you for sharing him with me and my family.  Fly High Dev!

Devlyn and I have been friends since we were 13. Although we didn’t talk everyday and we lost touch a few times, in the past few weeks he had reached out and we had been just as close as we always were. I’m so, so grateful for his friendship. He was someone I always knew I could rely on, who would always be there with a joke and a smile. He was so kind, and so full of love and joy for the people around him. He radiated light that would fill any room he was in.  I am hopeful that Dev will live on through those who loved him. He is already so, so deeply missed. 

I have had the pleasure of spending time with Devlyn as well as his mother Jessi on many and multiple occasions! Whether it was a baseball tournament, hockey tournament , school event or just hanging out ! Never a dull moment I must say 😁 Devlyn always knew how to have fun , be silly and enjoy himself and others! A bit of a jokester! Great hockey player and an even better baseball player! The last time I saw him he was such a gentleman, and so helpful, he will be sadly missed  ♥️ My family and I hope and Pray that the Voss family (Jessi) can find any type of healing and peace after this horrible tragedy! We are always available to help with anything, and send our condolences and love 💕   RIP Devlyn 

We are all very heart broken to lose such a beautiful man, we will never forget our time spent with you when you were visiting us with your ice hockey team on your trip to Australia. Heaven truly has gained an angel. Sending our sincere condolences to our USA family ❤️‍🩹

me and devlyn grew up playing hockey together and i always counted him as a friend. we weren’t super close in high school but still talked. he was always nice to me and was a good friend to me for years. i miss u dev. u will always hold a special place in my heart❤️

Devlyn and I have been friends since I think close to the age of 3. We always would hang out whether it be a school night or weekend, that’s how close we were. I still remember building a wwe ring in his living room basketball, wiggle ball and hockey out in the yard, and listening to Green Day and Michael jackson (our faves). One day I was at Devlyn’s house and we were messing around in his room and he had put a hole in the wall and tried covering it with a plastic toy no parking sign, his mom came into the room and asked what was going on Devlyn’s response was “nothing is going on we’re just playing” and than the sign fell off the wall and he stood there with his mouth open and said “ now how did that get there” we both started laughing. I miss you dev❤️

He was quiet, but always smiled. Never said too much, but you could tell her heard you. He was soooo tall!  I loved that he loved hockey like we do but mostly,  I loved how happy he made his momma!  She adored him more than words could say. Cheers to driving fun cars in heaven.  Kelly Hersom 

Devlyn and I weren’t super close. He was always so nice to me though. We had math together and I helped him a few times and he told me I was smart. He was always so goofy and lightened the mood during class everyday and I will never forget that! My dad also knew him as Devlyn worked at one of my dads work stops. My dad said he always worked so hard, and was so nice. Although he always forgot to take his hangers out of his locker he always made up for it with a good laugh! My dad had just seen him the Friday before and he was shocked and saddened when he found out. Devlyn you will never be forgotten. Rest easy and fly high. 

These 4 kids have always been closer than your normal cousins. Spending as much time as they did together since they were born definitely helped that. They got busier as they got older and didn't get to see each as much but whenever they did it was like they hadn't  been apart for a day. The lose of Devlyn to them is like losing a sibling. He was their cousin but they always saw him as their older/younger bro. They would smile wide when they seen each other and it was like they were whole again. A piece of them that will always be there in their hearts. We love you so much Devlyn

I had the pleasure of being a host mum to 4 amazing boys with one of them being Devlyn when they came to Australia for the Friendship Tournament. All the boys were so close, you could see it was a brother bond like no other and each of them full of adventure and kindness. I will never forget when you first tired Vegemite on toast! Your facials said It all! I swear it wasn’t that bad! 
We will miss you dear Devlyn and forever will be grateful for our paths crossing in life.
