Mary Alice Touchette Foti

ST. MARTINVILLE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Mary Alice Touchette Foti, at 10:00 am Friday, October 28, 2011 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church. Fr. Rusty P. Richard will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Michaels Mausoleum.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home of St. Martinville on Thursday from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm, with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen on Friday from 8:00 am until 9:30 am.

A native and resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. Foti passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at her residence.

Mrs. Foti was the owner and operator of Change of Times Antique Store on Main Street in St. Martinville. She also operated fruit stands in both New Iberia and St. Martinville, and worked with her husband buying and selling pecans, scrap metal, and operating the Flea Market.

Survivors include her children, Charles “Chucky” Foti, III and wife Brenda of St. Martinville, Floyd “Ricky” Foti and wife Robin of Breaux Bridge, Danette Foti, Deborah M. Foti, and Francesca “ShuShu” Foti all of St. Martinville; her grandchildren, Melissa Foti Aymond and husband Beau, Charles Howard Foti, Alexandra Foti, Seth Courville, Ciara Courville, Lawrence Joseph Courville, Ava Maria Picard, Jean Fontenot, Ryan Fontenot and wife Tabatha, Victoria Foti and Christian Foti; a great grandchild, Dixon Aymond; a brother, Edvard “Beb” Touchette and Jeanne of Texas; and a sister-in-law, Rita Touchette of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Foti, Jr.; parents, Edvard Touchette and Baptistine Douet; and two brothers, Edwin and Edward Touchette.

Serving as pallbearers will be Seth and Lawrence Courville, Charles Howard Foti, Christian Foti, Trey Thomas, Beau Aymond, Jean Fontenot and Ryan Fontenot.
