So sorry for your loss we knew Warren before he got married. We were friends of Sherries mom and dad, and went to school with his brother Ed.

Warren, from my late teens and well into my mid thirties, Most of my best memories of life involve you. Even after I met Linda and got married, You were a cherished friend to both of us. Linda loves you as much as I do! You were, and always will be my Best Man! I know that I am a better person for having known you, and I will treasure the memories. I am so proud and honored to have had you as a friend.   I will never forget you. I Love you!

I have so many wonderful memories of Warren while we were growing up.  His sister, Faith, was my best friend.  When we were out at the clubhouse every weekend, or hanging out at the house on South Broadway, the 3 of us shared so many good times.  The memories make me smile even as I grieve his loss. I'm so sorry for your loss.  It has been a very long time since I had seen Warren (I was a teenager -- was neighborhood friends with Faith), but I always remembered his smile and charm.  The pictures showed much happiness in those moments of his life and with his children.  I'm so sorry for their loss; it seems like they have lost a wonderful father.

I have so many wonderful memories of Warren and his family when we were all living on Dewey Street.  They were truly happy and good times.  I feel blessed to have known such a great guy.

I have lost my pal ! I remember the first time I met Warren when we were so young I was so amazed at the talent he had and the zest for life that I was imediately drawn to him. as we grew up together we joked that we were more than cousins we were brothers,twins we could think so much alike we would find ourselves calling at just the right time when the other need a lift or just a word. We laughed and played and went through good and bad times but always we were one !
II never met anyone in life that always gave me such joy !
 Warren loved life and lived it to the fullest,He enjoyed and love his family above all ! and was one of the most talented people I have ever known.
In the End he came to me and I was priveliged to spend his last hours with me our last words were to eachother  were pals forever ! and that's the way it should and will be forver my love your PAL !

Hey buddy , I know you will read all of these and I am not always the one with the right words , but here goes . I  didn’t get to know you until later in life . As all of our kids got a little older we cut their strings  and we all were able to have adult times. Vacations , parties , day car trips , going out to eat or  just sitting by the fire having a cold one at one of our houses . We became really good friends and was there for each other when we needed to be. I know that you made all the right decisions later in life that we talked about . You was a great dad  , great friend , even a better husband . You have four great boys here to take your place and I will try to be there friend forever . This picture is Vegas 2008 , you went to take the picture  but I couldn’t pass up you with all the purses   LOL !!!!  This picture is the healthy friend that I want to remember  . Words cannot even begin to describe the enduring love that Grandpa has for his family. We all can recall how ecstatic Warren was when the first grand-daughter Mariah was born, as he recalled the song about Mariah:"They call the wind Mariah." Then our family was blessed with Peyton Joshua. A young man who will grow to be like the 4 older Schaffer men. Memories will never escape our family for giving us the gift of an amazing father, grandfather, father in law, brother,and friend. We love and will miss you dearly.

Words can't begin to describe the physical and emotional pain I watched my Pop go through over the past 2 years. My Pop was a fighter through and through and his strength, resolve, and "stay in the game and fight" attitude are reasons for my brothers and I to keep our heads up and stay strong. My dad was and is a staple in so many lives and a titanic foundation for so many. Wherever he went he left an impression on so many and I can truly say without rehearsal that everyone loved to love him. His hands that were so strong and sometimes could hurt when we needed it....(and we did sometimes) were so gentle when I saw him hold my little boy and girl. I am so privileged and honored to bear his last name and hope to do him proud until we meet again. Seems like an eternity to wait for a simple hug. LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART TOO POP!!!!!

claudia i do not know exatly what i am doing but i want you and your family to know you are in my thoughts and prayers.  i know you have tried to prepare yourself for this moment but i also know it does not lessen the hurt we feel because we will miss an important person in our life.  i know you made the most of y'all's time together and you can feel good to know your brother knew how much you loved him.  now look for his way to show his love from above it maybe a penny on the ground that he throws from heaven for you what ever he will be watching over you

Christmas Eve 1983, I answered the phone and heard Warren's voice.  He said, "A great man once told me that the greatest tragedy in life, was words unspoken.  That great man was our dad and I'm calling tonight to say I love you!"  No tragedy among Warren and me, those words were spoken often and we just knew the importance of the bond we shared.  My heart  is broken for the loss of my brother,  a treasured link in our family circle and my dear Buddy.  I'll be listening for the bell to ring, then I'll know you have your wings.

God could not have placed a better brother in our family then when He placed Warren in our midst.  I have so many fond memories of him, neither time nor space would permit me to begin to share them with you all.  He was more than just a brother, he was my best buddy! Warren my dear friend – you are going to be so greatly missed.  Knowing your faith in God and how you loved your boys – was a true example of your love for your family and friends. I've worked with Warren for more than 25 years and there was no finer man.  His children were his love and nothing else mattered.  He was a good man who has left behind 4 wonderful young men to follow in his footsteps.  God bless you all.  He was very, very proud of his sons.  He is at peace and free of illness.
