Pennington, Virginia M. (nee Shea), Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on July 22, 2016. Loving wife of the late William P. Pennington; Loving mother of Margaret “Peggy” Robinson and William (Cindy) Pennington, Jr.; Loving grandmother of Katie and Brian Robinson, and Jennifer Pennington; Loving sister of retired Judge Thomas O’Shea; Loving sister of six siblings who preceded her in death; Loving aunt, great aunt, and friend to many.
Virginia was the first woman to be elected to the Richmond Heights City Council. She and her late husband founded the Richmond Heights Chamber of Commerce. She served as the organization’s executive director for 30 years.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 5 at HOFFMEISTER COLONIAL MORTUARY, 6464 Chippewa. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 6 at The Church of the Little Flower, 1264 Arch Terrace, Richmond Heights with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
