Roberta Mae Carter

Roberta Mae Carter (nee Schwab), Saturday, August 21, 2010. Roberta was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She was married in 1943 to the late Gene Allen Carter, and celebrated 67 years of marriage together in St. Louis. They raised two sons, David (Diane) Carter, and Gary Carter. Roberta was the daughter of the late Robert and Carrie Schwab and had two brothers, the late Arthur H. Schwab and Robert Maynard Schwab. Roberta had one grand-daughter, Sara.

Roberta was a member of Union United Methodist Church where she and her husband were actively involved in many church activities. She dearly loved her God, her church, and the many people who were a part of her life.

Roberta was also a member of the Eastern Star Barbee Chapter in south St. Louis.

Memorials to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.

Visitation will be held at HOFFMIESTER COLONIAL MORTUARY, 6464 Chippewa at Watson on Thursday August 26, 2010 from 4-8 P.M., with an Eastern Star Service conducted at 7:00 P.M. The funeral service will be at Union United Methodist Church, 3543 Watson Rd., Friday August 27,2010 at 11:00 A.M.. A period of visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. The interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
