Robert George Fischer

FISCHER Robert George 93, of St. Louis, MO. Fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church, he passed away peacefully at his home on March 17, 2015. He was the loving husband and best friend of the late Audrey (nee Fiebiger); beloved father of Robert (Sharon) Fischer Jr., Margaret (Daniel) Betts and Jeri (Kenny) Ort; loving grandpa and great grandpa; dear brother of the late Mildred Maddock and the late Lorraine Harp; he was a beloved uncle and friend.

Robert was a man of great faith and prayer which he found great strength in after the death of his beloved and adored Audrey. For many years he worked for Maloney Electric and retired from Borg-Warner in Wright City. In his retirement he loved gardening; both flower gardening and vegetable gardening. He was a great story teller. Robert always had a smile on his face open arms for family, friends, neighbors and even strangers. He will be greatly missed, but with faith we trust he is in the arms of the Lord and his beloved Audrey

Services: A visitation will be held from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd., Lemay, MO 63125. A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 10 a.m., on Monday, March 23, 2015 at St. Mark Catholic Church. Interment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery. In memory of Robert contributions are encouraged to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 3225 N Florissant Ave, St. Louis, MO 63107.
