Ralph Kolb, 94, passed away on November 12, 2020. He leaves his beloved wife of 72 years, Evelyn, three daughters, two grandsons, and his beloved niece, Judy. In 1944, he played shortstop for the St. Louis Cardinals' Ohio minor league team with a .248 batting average. In 1945, he served overseas in the US Navy during WWII on the USS Los Angeles. He was later employed by Union Electric as an electrical engineer, retiring after 40 years. He and Evelyn were members of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Clayton, MO. Ralph, like the signers of our US Constitution, was a devoted Mason; Master of Anchor Lodge #443; 1967. Past District Deputy Grand Marshall-District 57B; 1978-79. Wise Master of the Scottish Rite Rose Croix Chapter; 1986. Past Junior Grand Marshall of the Grand Lodge of MO; 1982-83, and on March 24, 2012 he was designated by the Grand Lodge of MO as Grand Lodge Ritualist Emeritus. His other passion was farming on his 169-acre farm near Richland, MO; he was still climbing trees with a chainsaw at the age of 85. The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Gunby for providing compassionate, competent care over several years and also wants to thank the staff at Laclede Groves Skilled Nursing for their loving care.
