Melvyn J. Smith

Beloved husband of Sharon Smith (nee Perry); dear father of Phil (R.D. Alba) Smith of West Hollywood, California, Neil J. Smith (Heather Helms), Kimberly Steinmann and Justin (Terry) Edwards; loving grandfather of Harrison John Smith, Ryan Zachary & Sarah Morgan Steinmann, Alonna Rose Johnson and Gavin Lee Edwards; dearest great-grandfather of Owen Reid Thacker; brother of Grenville (late Rosemarie) Smith, Graham “Budgie” (Lynn) Smith and Michelle Smith; brother-in-law of Irma “Sissy” Perry; our uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Melvyn retired from the British Royal Air Force where he dedicated 25 years of faithful service. He worked as a Logistics, Warehousing and Distribution Manager working up to Vice President of Operations until his retirement.

Mel was also a generous man who contributed to many charitable organizations. Best known for his wit, sweetest smile, accent, love of our backyard wildlife, and his kindness and generosity. He was so loved by so many people and he truly saw the beauty in everything and everyone. Mel will be deeply missed by his adoring wife and family.
