it was very insightful to read the previous comments on how sweet Mary Alice was to those that knew her.  Over the past decade, I have seen that sweetness and kindness personified in the smiles and the kindness of her Merlo and Pahic granddaughters.  I knew the smiles of the Pahic girls, but just recently discovered how each Merlo kid makes the world a happier place.  

   I cannot think of a better legacy for Mary Alice to leave then children and grandchildren who each and every day share their smile, their kindness, and their love with the world.

Steve, Bill, Jim, Gerry , Mary Beth and Julie my deepest sympathies on the passing of your Mom. What a classy lady. I cherish the memories of all the good times our families shared.  Her and Olllie are enjoying Ted Drewes and looking down on  the legacy they have left behind.  They must be so proud.
