John R. Burrows

John was born in St. Louis, MO, August 30th, 1935, the son of Oma and Clarence Burrows. He is survived by his loving wife for 32 years, Sherry; children Kim, John, David, and Michael; 7 grandchildren Brandon, Luke, Marcus, Evan, Bryn, Kaitlyn, and Kathryn; sister Barbara; and niece Linda and nephew Mark.

John graduated from Southwest High School in St. Louis. He obtained his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Missouri School of Mines at Rolla. He held various jobs in his early career working at Standard Oil, McDonnell Douglas, Dean Witter, Rotek Precision Ball Bearings, before ultimately deciding on a career as an entrepreneur in Real Estate. He grew his Real Estate career from buying his first 4-plex apartment building in 1973, to being the proud owner, developer, and operator of Storage Masters, the 5 complex self-storage businesses that survives him today.

Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend John’s Funeral, to be held at the Hoffmiester Colonial Mortuary at 10:30 AM on August 17th, 2013 (6464 Chippewa St., St. Louis, MO 63109 – (314) 832-7770). Immediately thereafter, there will be a procession to Memorial Park Cemetery where John will be laid to his final resting place next to his mother. The Burial will be at 12:30 PM (Memorial Park Cemetery, 5200 Lucas and Hunt Rd., St. Louis, MO 63121 – (314) 389-3500).
