Gilbert "Glen" Light Jr.

Glen was born in 1939 in Kingsport, Tennessee and graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and East Tennessee State University. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was an active member of University United Methodist Church.

Glen moved with his family to St. Louis, Missouri in 1977 to work with McDonnell-Douglas. He loved jazz, was an avid reader and a devoted fan of University of Tennessee football.

He was preceded in death by his parents, G. Glen Light, Sr. and Ruby Moore Light of Kingsport, Tennessee.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jean Hobbs Light of St. Louis, two children and four grandchildren including son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Rebecca Light; daughter Allison Light; grandchildren Haley Light, Nathan Light, Mia Krieger and Charles Krieger all of St. Louis; and his brother and sister-in-law, David and Jennifer Light of Kingsport, TN; a large extended family and many dear friends.

A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, July 8 at 3:00 p.m. at University United Methodist Church, 6901 Washington Ave, (63130) with Rev.
