Donna Lou Pollmann

Donna was born on August 13, 1934 to Alvin and Marie Simmons. She grew up in California, Missouri along with her brother, Dean and sister, Rita (Alldredge Marcum). She was baptized in 1934 and confirmed in 1947. It was at California High School where she met her sweetheart, Jesse Pollmann. On June 8th of this year they celebrated 65 years of marriage. Donna was helpmate to Jesse during his Christian ministry as a Pastor. They served together at Grace Church in Abilene, Kansas, St. John Church in Maeystown, Illinois, Salvator Church in St. Louis, Missouri, St. John Church in Valmeyer, Illinois, Salem Church in Florissant, Missouri, and St. Paul Evangelical Church in Creve Coeur, Missouri. After Jesse retired from full time ministry they went into the travel business and Donna actively managed their company, Welcome Aboard Travel.

Donna is survived by her husband, Jesse, her children, Jena (Mike) Yarbrough and David (Susan) Pollmann, her grandsons Joshua (Laura) Yarbrough, Adam (Jessica) Yarbrough, Jonathan (Kathryn) Pollmann, Joseph Pollmann, and Daniel Pollmann, her four great-grandchildren, Ruth, Charlotte, Stephen, and Abigail, her sister , Rita Marcum, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 30, from 9-11am at St. Paul's Evangelical Free Church, 9801 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, MO 63141. The Funeral Service will be immediately following at 11am with internment at St. Paul's Cemetery.
