Husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and friend. Billy lived a long and fulfilled life. He truly loved his family and took great pride in his 8 children, 29 grandchildren, and an abundance of great grandchildren.
Son of Earl Sutton and Ruth Gibson, Billy also had sisters Betty & Pat whom he loved dearly.
Billy was married to Nancy Sutton (Arrington), the love of his life for 38 years. Together they raised 8 children, Steven (Claire), Laura Rhine (Danny), Kathy Hovis (Dan), John Gibson (Leona), Lisa Baeres (Joe), Lynn Benenati (Greg), Diana Huling (Tom), Jeff Gibson (Chrissie).
Billy was a War Hero, serving as CPL in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a proud solider who was awarded a bronze star for his bravery, and a purple heart for injuries sustained during combat. He loved sharing his stories with everyone. His love for his country was admirable, and his time served heroic.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy, daughter Diana, son Jeff, granddaughter Kristen, sister Betty, and so many loved, no doubt the reunion was joyous.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 21, 2020, at Hoffmeister South County Funeral Home, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, Lemay, Mo. 63125 from 9:00-10:00 am. Funeral service will immediately follow at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan, Jefferson Barracks, Mo.
