L. Bernice was born on April 17, 1930 to Oscar and Virgie Cole, (both have proceeded her in death).
Bernice had three siblings; Bill (Dorothy) Cole, Carol (Ed) Walker and Ila Jean (Leroy) Stark.
Bill, Ed and Ila Jean proceeded her in death.
Bernice married Early Dean Lynn on November 8, 1948 and together they had four children.
Debbie Lynch (Mike), Stanley Lynn (proceeded her in death), Rhonda Lynn-Moeckel and Sandra Wright.
Sadly Earl passed away at the age of 39, November 16, 1970.
Bernice married Kenneth Eugene Westrich on April 12, 1975. Sadly Kenny proceeded Bernice in
death in July 17, 2015.
Bernice was a loving Grandmother of Michael Lynch (who proceeded her in death), Jennifer Bradford
(Terry), Rick Moeckel (April), Brian Moeckel (Erin) and Amanda Braun (Billy).
Loving great-grandmother of Riley and Ryan Bradford, Olivia, Dean, Grace and Luke Moeckel,
Macy, Graham, Harry and Calvin Moeckel and Carter and Mason Braun.
Bernice was an avid gardener, talented seamstress and creative floral designer.
Bernice was a hard worker and owned "Flowers by Bernice" and during this time she designed
flowers for many couples, parties, weddings and funerals. Her talents touched more lives than
we will ever know. Bernice retired at the age of 80 after she suffered a massive stroke.
She used to say, "it's not work when you love what you do".
Bernice's strong faith helped her find joy in life's ever changing and challenging times.
One of her favorite Bible Verses is found in Isaiah 40:31. "But they that wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint."
A visitation for Bernice will be held Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125. A committal service will occur Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Mount Hope Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125.
