Dear Henry, may God comfort you in this time of sorrow.  As you know, I only met Barb once, but she was such a sweet and hospitable lady.  I am happy that I met her with you.  I saw how much you cared for each other and the love showed through.  May God bless and keep you through this difficult time and always.

Henry, I've posted a photo of me, my sister, and Barbara Jo below. The house number is 5639.  As we lived at 5624, I assume that number was where your wife lived back then. Barb was a beautiful lady inside and out.  Henry took such good care of her.  When I returned to St. Louis 31 years ago my mom told me about the young lady in the parish who had Multiple Sclerosis, as my mom did.  I will miss her smiling face at Senior Day and every event she was able to attend and often work at St. Francis of Assisi.  You will be missed, Barb.  Peace to you, Henry, and your children. Dear Schaper Family, my condolences on your loss.
  My first home was in the 5600 block of Chippewa in the late 1940's.  My older sister, Suzanne, and I used to play sometimes with Barbara Jo Vogel, a little blonde girl a few years older, who lived perhaps a block away.  Sadly we had to move away when I was about 4 years old, and I don't remember ever seeing her again.  I recall the 3 of us playing hide and seek in my parents' victory garden behind our duplex, and picking hollyhocks flowers to float face up in bowls of water--the innocent days of a golden childhood!
    I'm pleased to learn that she had a full, rich life!  May she rest in peace. Carole (Niemeier) Tipton

I am so sorry to hear of your wife's death.  I only met her once and that was at the Christmas dinner.  I will never forget the beautiful love that I saw expressed between the two of you.  I can only imagine how much you will miss her.  You will both be in my prayers.  God bless you always.
