I, too, was a partner-in-crime at TigerPlace with Alice and Betty Miller.  We visited each other before dinner every night and ate together.  She also took my chips quite often later at the poker game.  Alice was indeed a strong woman and one to be admired every time you saw her.  She is one of those happy memories of my life.

Nancy, I saw your mother's obituary in the paper and I wanted to at least
write you a note.  I remember her so well, a very strong lady with no
stopping her.  I was aware of the results of her polio, but it seemed as if
it was just a part of her like her hair color.  I hope she was able to carry
that through her life and that post-polio did not affect her.  I hope that
all is well with you.  Do you ever meet up with any Viz classmates?

Alice was a joy to know  and to know her was to love her! Wonderful memories include her visit to me at the hospital after we both had new family additions.  She even looked fabulous in a flour sack!Her infectious smile and laugh would lift anyone's spirits anytime  and anywhere. Stories of oyster stew will always be a part of my fond Christmas memories.  What a gal!

I was saddened to hear of Alice's recent death.  She was a very special lady and dear friend of my mother, Betty Miller.  They were quite the pair at Tiger Place!  My mother was fortunate to have a confidant and "partner in crime."  We had some fun times with our moms, didn't we Maggie?  God bless you Alice, my Mom is happy her buddy has arrived.

My memories of Alice are as a child, frequently visiting the Bindbeutel house. Even as a child, I recognized Alice as a very strong, yet warm adult who commanded so much respect. It was always fun in Alice's house, as long as you followed the rules. She left a strong and positive impression that will always be with me.

I had the joy to meet Alice why she lived at Tigerplace, she was a very lovely lady an everyday made me smile with her inspiring storys of her life! My favorite thing about Tigerplace was Alice, I looked foward to haveing lunch with her every day I worked. You will b greatly missed Alice! Our prayers are with the family.

Alice was a lovely, inspiring woman. Her smile lit up the room and made everyone feel a little better. I will always be grateful to her for the selfless way she befriended my father in his time of need. She will be missed.

To  the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of a great lady,  I was very sorry to hear about your loss.  I remember her for many things but the two I remember most were her great laugh and her float trip meal preparation.  NO ONE ever ate better than the beneficiaries of one of Alice Bindbeute's float trip feasts.  She had a great challenge with her disability but you'd sure never know it by watching her. Meg and I were very sorry to read of your Mom's passing. We always had a deep respect for her enthusiasm for all of those around her and wish we had seen more of her in recent years. I'm sure Mary Rose feels the same.
