Theresa "Terry" Landis

With great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude, the Landis and Ried families announce the passing of our kind, brave, caring and unimaginably generous wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Theresa (Terry) Marie Landis, of Saint Augustine, FL.

Terry was born Theresa Marie Ried in December of 1955, was the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Ried and was the sister of Robert Ried. She departed this earthly life on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at the age of 68.

Terry is survived and missed by her loving husband Roland (Jim) of almost 50 years; and their children, Roland James Landis (Jimi) and Robert Ried Landis (Bob). Daughter-In-Laws Rashelle (Shelly) Landis and Mary (Leann) Landis. Forever cherished and remembered by their five grandchildren, Dakota, Kaleb, Mila, Mariah and Hayden.

Terry had the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile. She loved collecting turtles, doing arts and crafts, her dogs, making things for the neighbors, and watching the neighbor’s children grow up. She was strong-willed and stubborn, but those traits defined Terry. They were part of who she was, and her strength undoubtedly helped her deal with life’s challenges. From age 13, Terry suffered chronic medical issues, including ulcerative colitis.

Terry was a strong fighter, but she is now sailing on a journey to shores that we cannot see. We know that she is free from pain and is floating peacefully with her sea turtle friends in the crystal-clear turquoise waters of her dreams. Just keep swimming…

A visitation for Theresa will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens St. Johns, 1285 St. Johns Parkway, St. Johns, FL 32259, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 12:00 PM.
