I wish the last time I spoke to you, I could have told you more to let you know how much I loved you. I just hope you believed me when I told you how smart and handsome you were, with so much to offer, and how you were such a good dad. You were always good at making me laugh and at so many things, with a heart of gold. I hope you and Poppy are on a big boat, fishing and eating lobster. I will miss you forever.

There are so many good memories!
You were funny and kind and always lit up a room when you walked in!
I can remember one Easter you dressed up as the Easter Bunny and I watched you running through the backyards.
Every 4th of July  you made sure you had 
a spectacular firework show!
Then catching Sharks and then releasing them.  I was nervous just looking at the pictures.
When you became a father to the twins watching you become the best father you could made me so proud.
Too many other wonderful memories to mention . You were one of a kind ❤️

You were my second grandchild but the first grandson.  You were so little when you were born and then towered over me.
You were the most good hearted, loving 
grandson a grandparent could hope for.
You will be in my heart ❤️ until the time we meet again.

Tom and I are so sorry for your loss. We lost Adam at the age of 34, four years ago and he left behind a 4 yr old son. We both understand your pain and are praying for you and your entire family.  Keep Steven alive in your hearts, for he will always be near.   Look for signs because he will be sending them from above.  Teach his children to look for his signs. I remember having great fun working with Stephen at WFM. He was always talking about fishing, shark fishing and fishing from a kayak. When he got married he was ecstatic  and when the twins were born he was over the moon. He was a joy to be around, I know he will be missed by many. Too young, too soon.

RIP Steven. I'm shocked and can't believe it. Always felt we'd meet again in the fish a day or work a day world. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

It is with a heavy heart that I reflect on our dear neighbor, Steven. Steven was always a vibrant presence on our street, the kind of person who truly made every holiday or street gathering unforgettable. With an infectious smile and a boundless energy, he was the life of the party—whether it was setting up elaborate firework shows or helping to host any block party.
Although I did not know him well in my adult years,  I remember what truly set Steven apart was his genuine kindness. He had a special way of making everyone feel included, especially the younger kids on the street. No matter who it was, Steven would always take the time to make each child feel included in the firework fun. Steven will forever hold a special place in our hearts.  - Leila Browder

So saddened for my work brother Steve Yatwa.  Stephen Joseph and I share in the brotherhood of shark grappling and the same middle name.  Go on my brother, and my God be with you.

We will miss days like this, doing what you loved most and being out on the water. I know you’ll be catching all the tuna and mahi up there. Until next time.

I used to always tell you how crazy you were going out shark fishing at night in your kayak, but that was something you loved doing so much.  This isn't goodbye, let’s just say you’ve gone fishing so save me a seat and I’ll bring my pole when my time comes. Love you so much.

So many memories...... growing lettuce and supplying the street, Easter Bunny shenanigans, fishing any chance you could get, changing the brakes out on my Accord, July birthday buddy, always answered my call to remove black racers from the porch "Miss Lisa, do you want me to kill it?" Me: "no, thanks though", removing black racers from my car, me trying to sleep from working night shift and waking to you firing potato guns in the woods next to my bedroom, showing me the tat you wanted over your heart and got,  fireworks extravaganza for every holiday you could, I think of you every time I hear Notorious B.I.G Mo Money and forever will .... Most of all I will remember your heart, your laugh, your smile, and your contagious spirit to help others.  You lived big and are loved bigger.  I miss you and I can't wait to see your smile again and hug you. Thank you for your friendship and love.  I know you are setting the most beautiful fireworks show right now.  Love you, Stephen. I’ve only known Steve for a short period of time. However, during that time we were able draw close together because we shared something in common. We had a connection that I held very close too my heart and over these last several months up until the day before God called for him there wasn’t a day that went by that we didn’t talk only on a rare occasion it occurred. Steve had a big heart and a determination to succeed. We would share about both our successes and he would confide in me about his future business opportunities. The sky was the limit for a man like Steve. I know he is going to be missed by so many people. Love you so much. Fly high brother.

Our hearts are heavy with profound sorrow upon learning of Stephen's passing. He was truly one of the kindest, most exceptional souls we have ever had the privilege of knowing. Stephen's warm, radiant smile had a way of lighting up every room he entered, and his keen intellect and remarkable talents inspired all who crossed his path.

In Stephen, we have lost not only a dear friend, but a shining beacon of compassion and humanity. The impact he made through his children, Stephen and Ava, is a testament to the profound legacy he leaves behind. Though our world is dimmer without his vibrant presence, we take solace in knowing that his spirit will live on through his beloved family.

Words cannot adequately express the depth of our grief, nor the immense gratitude we feel for having been touched by Stephen's life. He was truly one of a kind, and his loss leaves an irreplaceable void. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Stephen will be deeply missed, but forever remembered in our hearts.
