Bob lived most of his life in New Jersey. He was an active member of the Brick Town Soccer Club where his children played soccer. Bob worked at R. Hoe & Company as an apprentice machinist. Bob served honorably in the United States Army in Vietnam where he received an Air Combat Infantry Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal. After his service, he worked in the technology field for ITT. Upon his retirement, he moved to Florida to be close to family.
Bob enjoyed golfing, working on cars, fishing, watching sports, especially the Yankees, and spending time with friends and family.
Bob is predeceased by his mother Dolores Carroll, father Benjamin Carroll, brother John Carroll. Bob is survived by his children Robert (Emily) Carroll, Scott (Melissa) Carroll, Melissa (Joseph) Little, Timothy (Sarah Brown) Carroll and eight grandchildren who will cherish his memories.
A memorial service will be held at 7pm on Tuesday September 5, 2023. The family will receive friends from from 5-8 at Hardage-Giddens St. Johns, 1285 St. Johns Parkway, St. Johns Florida 32259. A celebration of life will take place in New Jersey for family and friends at a future date.
