Kevin Cooper, 68, of St. Johns, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 22, 1956, Kevin was a man of extraordinary drive, resilience, and love, who dedicated his life to his family and to creating a legacy of hard work and happiness.
Kevin was a master mechanic, admired for his unmatched skill and determination. But his true passion was his family. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Kevin’s love for his wife, Lynn, never went unnoticed. He worked tirelessly, laying a golden road for her and their children, ensuring they had the lives and happiness he so deeply wanted for them.
A proud “girl dad”, Kevin cherished his daughters, above all else, guiding them with unwavering love and support. His grandchildren were the light of his life, bringing him immense joy and happiness. Kevin was a dedicated friend and cherished his friendships and always considered his friends to be family. Upon his retirement and moving to Florida, he left behind a wonderful, loving group of friends in Texas. He developed a new loving and caring relationship with his new friends in his Reverie community and he will be remembered forever for his laughter and loyal friendship.
Kevin found peace and fulfillment in life’s simple pleasures: working on his lawn cultivating pineapples and plumeria’s, fishing on quiet days, and playing games with family and friends. His resilience and determination were hallmarks of his character, he never let life keep him down, always pushing past its boundaries to be there for the people he loved most.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn, his daughter, Erin (Billy) Jamieson and their children Steven and Ashley. Daughter, Kelly Tristan and her children Joseph, Matthew, Nicholas and Gabriella; Brother in In-law Brian Todd and his three sisters Kim, Darlene and Laurie. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Jane Cooper, brother Daryl and In-laws Robert and Jane Todd.
A celebration of Kevin’s life will be held on 05 December 2024 at Hardage-Giddens St. Johns at 10:00 for public visitation and Service at 11:00. Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate the life of a man whose love, drive, and dedication left a lasting imprint on everyone he touched.
Kevin Cooper will forever be remembered as a man who gave everything for his family, cherished life’s simple joys, and lived with a love and determination that inspired all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he so deeply loved.
