It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Geneva Allen, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Geneva passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024, at the age of 95.
Born on June 5, 1929, in Teges, Kentucky, to Granville and Georgia King, Geneva grew up surrounded by family and the values of kindness and perseverance that defined her life. She married Forrest Allen in 1946, and together they shared 44 beautiful years of marriage until Forrest's passing in 1990. Geneva called Connersville, Indiana, home for over 45 years, where she worked at Stants Manufacturing until her retirement. Afterward, she moved to Naples, Florida, where she enjoyed the sunshine and the next chapter of her life.
Geneva was a firm believer in Jesus Christ and the salvation He provided her through His death on the cross. She lived her life with unwavering faith in Christ and was a source of strength and encouragement to those around her. She was never afraid to share her faith with those she came in contact with, offering a light to others through her words and actions. She is now in heaven with her Savior, where she has found eternal peace and joy.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Granville and Georgia King, and her siblings, Thelma Wilder, Dora Anduski, LeeRoy King, and Walter King. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Brenda (David) Brooks, her only child; her four grandchildren—Shelley Hatfield, Susan Kochersperger, David Brooks, and Benjamin Brooks—nine cherished great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Geneva had a deep love for animals, especially her Basenjis, which she raised and showed competitively. Her passion for dogs brought her joy and companionship throughout her life.
Her family and friends will always remember her warmth, her dedication to her loved ones, and her indomitable spirit.
The family wishes to extend special recognition and gratitude to the staff at Silver Treasures at St. John and Vitas Hospice for their compassionate care during Geneva’s final days.
Geneva's legacy lives on through her family and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and love.
