Erick was a US Navy Veteran, a Children’s Pastor, a Floor Technician with Environmental Control and an Adjuster with Caliber Collision. His favorite hobby was riding his motorcycle. Family was everything to him. He always strived to bring his family closer together. He was passionate about the presence of God and peoples souls. His dream was to bring as many lives to Jesus as he could. He was a God fearing man that lived his life to honor God in all areas.
Erick was survived by his beautiful wife Loreinly Rentas, his father Francisco J. Ortiz, his mother Caroline Rodriguez, his older brother Francisco J. Ortiz, his two younger sisters Carilyn Jaen and Francheskary Ortiz, his nephews Javier Ortiz, Jariel Ortiz, Jesed Jaen, his niece Zurishaddai Jaen and his soon to be born son.
Erick was a man after God’s own heart, a living image of who Jesus is. He is a perfect example of 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8. Erick was patient and kind; Erick did not envy or boast; Erick was not arrogant or rude. Erick did not insist on his own way; Erick was not irritable or resentful; Erick did not rejoice in wrong doing but rejoiced with the truth. Erick bore all things, believed all things, hoped all things, and endured all things. He reflected the fruits of the spirit just as it says in Galatians 5: 22-23. He was loving, joyful, peaceful, forbearing, kind, good, faithful, gentle and had self-control. He was the most selfless person we have ever known and all who knew him can attest to that. Our sunshine.

Era cariñoso, gozoso, pacífico, tolerante, bondadoso, bueno, fiel, gentil y tenía dominio propio.
