Brynley Piper Richardson, born in Jacksonville, Florida on July 23, 2021, gained her angel wings at the very young age of 3 on Monday, August 26th. "Bryn Bear", as the family called her, fought a very long and tough battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and ultimately her body succumbed.
Brynley is survived by her Mama and Dada, Brett and Heather Richardson, her Bubba, Ryder, 8 years old, and her best friend Lucky Dog, a 2.5 year old frenchie. She will also be leaving behind grandparents Gregory, Donna, Terry, and Kim as well as uncles Heath, Chris, and Josh, aunts Mandy and Ashley, and cousins Tracie, Rainer, and Madison, plus many great uncles, aunts, and cousins. She will be joining her big brother, Kortland in heaven's playground.
Although Brynley was fighting cancer for most of her life, she made the most of every second and never let it slow her down. She was always game to play with her big brother or wrestle with her Lucky puppy. Sports were in the girl's blood. She loved her Jaguars, Icemen, Sharks, OSU Cowboys and any team her brother played for. She was destined to be a cheerleader! Her favorite athlete was always and will always be her BUBBA. Go Bubba, Go Bubba, Go!
To honor Brynley, a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 6th at 2:00pm at Bowing Oaks, 7743 Alphons St, Jacksonville, FL 32256, for all her family, friends, and supporters.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Brynley's honor to any of the organizations that have helped her and her family throughout her journey: Fourth and Gold (funding research for pediatric cancer research), Dreams Come True (helping ill children in the community experience the hope and joy of a dream come true), The Jay Fund (providing financial, emotional and practical support to families battling childhood cancer), V for Victory (provides services and resources at no cost to local families who are battling cancer), Child Cancer Fund (provides financial assistance for families and offers emotional and practical support to the entire family affected by childhood cancer).
