Bradley Stephen Scott (Brad) passed away on July 4, 2023 with his loving family by his side, at the age of 50 in Seven Devils, NC. He was born on March 5, 1973 in Rockford, IL, grew up in KY and NC, and has resided in Jacksonville, FL for nearly 10 years.
Brad was a remarkable family man with a whole-hearted devotion to his wife and four children-whom he absolutely adored. His sense of humor and wit was renowned throughout his family and friends, always lifting spirits of those around him while wearing a sly grin. Brad will be dearly missed by his wife and children, brothers, and parents, along with a wide swath of coworkers and friends.
Brad attended Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh, NC, then achieved a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Appalachian State University and a Masters of Science in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins. His career started with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), but flourished when he joined Amgen 18 years ago. Brad leaves a legacy of success and friendships as a business leader at Amgen, achieving multiple awards including Coach of the Year, Chairman’s’ Circle, and Team Excellence. In his later years at the company, he rose to become an accomplished Oncology Portfolio Director, leaving his imprint on so many around him.
In his free time, Brad was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hiking, mountain biking, hunting and fishing, and golfing-always with family and close friends. He lived for and loved watching his kids participate and thrive in school, lacrosse, football, dance and music.
Predeceased by brother Kenneth Stephen Scott.
Brad is survived by his wife, Christina (Tina) Francani Scott, and their children: Adelise (Addie), Braydon, Josette (Josie), and Sophieanne (Sophie). He is also survived by his parents, Stephen and Elizabeth (Jean) Scott, and his siblings: Curtis (Wife Dawnette) and Adam (wife Margaret). Brad was a cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews: Alexandra (husband Nathan, daughter Alaina), Stephen, Lucia and Isla.
A memorial celebration of life for Brad will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 6-9 pm at Hardage-Giddens St. Johns, 1285 St. Johns Parkway N., St. Johns, Florida 32259, with Family Remarks beginning at 7:15pm. This will be an opportunity for family and friends to come together to remember Brad and support each other during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your charity of choice.
Bradley Stephen Scott will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May his memory be cherished forever.
