Winslow was a veteran of the US Army who retired from McDonnell-Douglas after more than 40 years of service. Winslow volunteered for AARP in St. Louis as a tax preparer. He was a very skilled woodworker and made many pieces including birdhouses, numerous rocking horses, a full-size sleigh and reindeer, and countless other beautiful pieces. Win loved to make people laugh and make up funny songs (which he would sing to you even if you were trying not to listen!) He could often be seen with his favorite cigar hanging from his mouth and had the loudest sneezes ever! Win never met a stranger and loved sharing stories. He was of Christian faith and very giving of heart--If the family went out to eat, he paid. If his kid made a tough decision, he supported it. If his grandkids wanted something, he got it for them. Watching game shows made Win happy and his breakfast of 5 (not 6, not 4) oatmeal cookies, will fondly be remembered. He will most certainly be missed!
