Virginia Fay Plotts (nee French), 92, of St. Ann, MO entered into Heavenly rest on March 12, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Algie and Verni French; her husband of 60 years, Royce Plotts; son-in-law, David Armstrong; and 9 siblings. Virginia is survived by her children, Pamela Armstrong, Philip (Josie) Plotts, and Dennis (Deanna) Plotts; grandchildren, David (Yukendra) Armstrong, Brandon (Valery) Armstrong, Chad Plotts, Justin (Jessica) Plotts, Kara Plotts (Craig Rudd), Jonathan (Jennifer) Plotts, and Nathan (Ashley) Plotts; great grandchildren, Landen, Liam, Zyla, Violet, Declan, Dillon, Kali, Carter, Evie, Elias, Haylie, Vivian and Tristan; beloved sister, Nadine Burnett; and many nieces and nephews.
Virginia was a faithful servant of the Lord and a member of Harmony United Methodist Church and a former long-time member of Marvin Park United Methodist Church. Virginia was the youngest of 11 children and grew up picking cotton and eating fresh watermelon in the fields of the family farm. Family was always very important to her and she was the organizer of many family reunions. She and Royce were ballroom dancers and active Board Members of the Senior Citizens of North St. Louis & County where they organized and hosted the Monday night dinner dances at the St. Ann Community Center for many years. Virginia was an avid Cardinal baseball fan and will be missed but fondly remembered.
Friends may visit on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home in St. Ann. Funeral service on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association and United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).
