Shirley Catherine (nee Dorr) Sneed Appel of Chesterfield passed away peacefully on January 4, 2019. She is proceeded in death by her father, Charlie Dorr; mother, Leona (nee Oswald) Dorr; brother, Stanley Dorr; first husband, Lyman Sneed; second husband, Robert Appel; and niece, Joyce (Dorr) Peppels. Shirley is survived by her step daughter, Nancy (Norm) Dees; nephews, Chuck (Heather) Dorr and Craig (Mary) Dorr; and nieces, Judy (Dave) Dorr Lacombe and Jayne Kragel.
Shirley loved horses and spent much of her life showing saddleseat horses. She was a dedicated and valued employee in her careers at United Van Lines and The National Association of Real Estate Appraisers. Shirley was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and enjoyed time with her family and close friends. She was an extremely loyal person to spouses, family, friends, and co-workers. She will be missed by all.
